Such an interesting article. I am so happy that I flew the Concorde from NYC to Morocco. What an experience! Wish they were still flying. What a loss!!!!

As a bus driver shuttling passengers between Seattle and Bellingham Int'l Airports, I love pointing out the SST Concorde along Interstate 5 in Seattle. Before I do, I point out Boeing's new 787 Dreamliners which are usually parked at the north end of Boeing Field. I explain that it is the most fuel-efficient commercial airliner ever built.
Then, as we approach mid-field, I inform my passengers that Boeing Field is also home to the LEAST fuel-efficient commercial airliner ever built. I enlighten them of the Concorde's speed, altitude and a few other tidbits of facinating information. Using my overhead mirror, I love to see them looking at the most beautiful and sophisticated airliner in amazement as we roll by at a paltry 60 mph!
Oh, how I wish I could have afforded a ticket aboard a flying Concorde. Strolling down its aisle at a museum is such a tease, but in this economy the price is right!

There are "just" three concordes on display in the United states says the author. Speaking as an Englishman, you should think yourselves lucky to have three.
