As a photographer, Mix recorded the 1906 Paris auto show, which he helped illuminate with electric light. “It is not unpatriotic to admit that the Paris automobile show is still the leader in the automobile world,” the Los Angeles Times announced on January 6, 1907. “No pains were spared and no money grudged to make the Salon d’Automobile of 1906 the most resplendent show ever held…. Its lighting has astonished the world.”
