Susan Still Kilrain during the STS-83 mission in 1997. One of only three female shuttle pilots, she retired from NASA in 2002 after two flights, and is now a motivational speaker.

This new barcode scanning feature in Air & Space is fantastic.
I would like to have seen all of the 'thumbprints' appear before individual photos, to act as an index. I scrolled thru all pics, forwards and backwards before I found thumbprints. Touching picture simply advanced to next rather than zoom in/out. Also, 'previous/next' are too close to picture - I sometimes touched picture when I really to move 'previous/next'.
Thanks for including this advancement in technology in Air & Space - this makes an already amazing magazine so much better.

Karen Nyberg has a beautiful blonde hair, regardless of gravity... the other ones are indeed forgettable :)
