"When I joined the Colorado Air National Guard," recalls Major TenEyck LaTourrette, "the mantra 'One weekend a month, two weeks a year' held a lot more truth than it does today. At the time you were only called up when things got really bad. Today it's far more complex and it takes a lot more time to maintain the basic qualifications needed to deploy."

Great article and photo's. Henry Ford would be proud of the tech on the wing with a ball peen hammer (behind his right foot) and a piece of bailing wire in his left hand. Standard tool kit for a Model "T" Ford.
