Ralph Charles Part 1
After reading “TLC for Misunderstood Warbird, Challenging the Helldiver’s bad reputation" by Rebecca Maksel Air & Space Magazine, July 01, I immediately thought of sharing some photos from the personal photo album of Ralph Charles. During the war Ralph was one of the civilian test pilots at Port Columbus where he test flew 1,151 Helldivers for the Curtiss-Wright Co. Prior to his passing in 2003 at the young age of 103, Ralph loaned his photo albums to my dad for scanning into digital files.

The aircraft Helldiver is for me the best aircraft of WWII era.
