A Tour of a Lifetime and the USS Constellation
Stephen Van Oss of Wheaton, Illinois writes: F-14 Tomcat ready for a catapult launch off the deck of the USS Constellation. On September 14, 1988, I was lucky to be able to make a VIP overnight visit to the USS Constellation. We flew out from the San Diego Naval Air Station on a Grumman C-2 Greyhound, making an arrested cable landing. 24 hours later we were catapulted off the deck and flew back. During those 24 hours we were given a tour of a lifetime!
