Remembering T. Otis Black
Steven Black of New Harmony, Utah writes: After leaving his job as associate editor of the Washington DC Times-Herald at the age of 39, My father T. Otis Black had to honor of being this gentleman's pilot for a period of time during WWII. He was also one of 23 C-47 pilots shot down by the US Navy during the invasion of Sicily.

Call me traditionalist but, even though the frequenters of this website almost assuredly already recognize him, the caption really should mention that "this gentleman" is Omar Bradley who was later promoted to General of the Army (aka 5 star general).
If this observation has already been made in another as of yet moderated & published comment, please delete this one rather than publishing it.
