Space Shuttle Main Engines Home at Last
Mark Van Alstine Merritt Island, Florida: With the Space Shuttle Program now over, for the first time, all fifteen Space Shuttle Main Engines are in the Main Engine Processing Facility at the same time. They are being processed for long term storage and shipment to NASA's John C. Stennis Space Center in Mississippi. NASA has said they would like to use the SSME's on the purposed Space Launch System heavy lift rocket.
