Jeff D. Welker of Mesa, Arizona writes: Image of Lockheed F-104 Starfighter being assigned to squadrons in western US. My father, Dale R. Welker, took this image while stationed at the Arizona Air National Guard base at Sky Harbor. He was in charge of the photo lab and part of the 197th Fighter Interceptor Squadron. These particular 104's were being delivered to 434th Tactical Fighter Squadron that were stationed at George Air Force Base in California.
