Lifting Atlantis
Walter Scriptunas II of Charleston, West Virginia writes: Inside the Vehicle Assembly building at NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida, Space Shuttle Atlantis is lifted for the final time. The lift and subsequent mating to the external tank and twin solid rocket boosters were part of Atlantis's processing for the final Space Shuttle mission in July of 2011.
