Mark M. Williams of Woodside, California writes, "My Dad's always been a warbird nut, probably stemming from his time guarding P-61's at the Northrop plant in [World War II]. He spent a whole lot of money on film over the years photographing airplanes. Mom didn't mind looking at them as long as there were her kids in the picture. The Ed Maloney's Mission article made me grab this photo off the shelf and submit it for your archive. The [photograph] is dated 1970, so this must have been the Buena Park operation. We had free reign wandering thru the junkyard, climbing up, over and thru all sorts of aircraft. (That's my brother Dan on the wing.) Obviously an experience never to be repeated in this day and age. Thanks for the great article."
