Going Vertical

When pilots Jim Harley (front seat) and Air & Space contributor Larry Lowe took up Betty Jane, a TP-51C Mustang last weekend, they decided to strap a GoPro camera to the wing to capture video. The Mustang is part of The Collins Foundation's Wings of Freedom Tour, which includes a B-17, B-24, and the only dual-control P-51C still flying, Lowe told us. You can catch them around California through the end June 2012. Above is a still from their GoPro video, going vertical during a quick flight from Marana to Yuma, Arizona.

Great picture! I'm hoping to see the tour on their visit to California!
