Wingsuits and Gliders

If you're part of the adrenaline-rush loving Red Bull sports teams, we suppose this is your idea of a casual Friday. The energy drink's official Skydiving Team planned this stunt with the Blanix Glider Team for the third in their Akte Blanix series. The skydivers in wingsuits met up with the gliders about 13,000 feet above the mountains in Austria, flying side-by-side at well over 100 mph. In Red Bull's press, skydiver Georg Lettner explained, "The gliders are constantly moving around. It was definitely scary at times, but looking back it was an unbelievable experience. There are few things better than being able to look a pilot right in the eyes as you fly alongside him." Blanix pilot Ewald Roithner adds, "None of us are adrenaline junkies." Isn't that cute? Nobody believes you. (But we love it. Keep on keeping on, you crazy flying squirrels.)
