Keep Looking Up
On Saturday, we lost a source of inspiration for anyone who has ever gazed up at the night sky and wondered what it all looked like up close. Neil Armstrong, along with Buzz Aldrin, Michael Collins, and Chris Kraft, visited the National Air and Space Museum in 2009 to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Apollo 11 landing on the moon. In this photo, taken by audience member Samer Farha, Armstrong points at the exhibits hanging from the Milestones of Flight gallery that inspired him, and the world along with him, to take the first major steps into space. This seems like an excellent way to remember the astronaut: always looking up. You can watch the full NASM lecture here.
