Double the Ospreys
Photographer Bill Putnam is spending a year with the NATO Training Mission in Afghanistan. On Monday, he was in the Helmand province at Camp Bastion, the main British military base in the country, waiting for a flight. An MV-22 Osprey approached and, like any good photographer with a full toolbox, pulled out his phone and hit the multiple exposure setting on his Hipstamatic app and "banged off the frames." The result is a brief glimpse at an Osprey in flight, in the hazy, slightly unreal style that can sometimes suit war photography so well.
