Nice View of the Cotton From Up Here
Photographer Scott Youmans caught a great shot of this AV-8B Harrier II, flown by instructor pilot Major Brett McGregor, as it flew over farmland near Marine Corps Air Station Yuma in Arizona. The flight was part of the Weapons Tactics Instructor Course last week, held twice a year at Yuma, and provides advanced training for both air and ground forces. Youmans tells us that McGregor and his Harrier were performing "Defensive Counter-Air training involving air-to-air combat to defend a friendly position, in this case, Yuma."
