Rover Selfie
NASA's Curiosity rover is on Mars. You know what else is on Mars? Mars rocks. Lots of them. So after we banished the poor rover to a lifetime of taking pictures of alien dirt, it was really only a matter of time before its gaze strayed away from the landscape and it started getting curious about the most clever thing on the planet: itself. In fact it didn't just take one self-portrait -- it took 55. The high-resolutions images were taken with the Mars Hand Lens Imager and stitched together in a mosaic. You're looking pretty good, there, Curiosity.
