Ares I-X Launch

The Ares I-X launch on October 28, 2009, tested the basic design and control system for the proposed Ares 1 crew launcher scheduled to debut in 2015. This was the first new rocket launched by NASA in nearly 30 years. Video: NASA (2:38)
