Light Flight

Utah Senator Jake Garn, who flew as a guest astronaut on the STS-51D space shuttle mission in April 1985, plays with a paper airplane inside Discovery’s mid-deck cabin. The stunt was part of an educational “Toys in Space” demonstration that also had astronauts playing with yo-yos and jacks in weightlessness. Video: NASA (0:17 )
