OUR AIRSHOW GUIDE for 2019 links you to more than 125 events across the United States from April through November, featuring aircraft of all kinds in flight and on static display. Icons under each show’s description indicate whether particular performance teams, such as the U.S. Navy Blue Angels or U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds, will appear, including U.S. appearances of the Canadian Forces Snowbirds.
We’ve also listed U.S. appearances of the Royal Air Force Red Arrows Aerobatic Team, which flies nine copies of the BAE Systems Hawk T.1 trainer in high-precision formations, complete with colorful smoke and flourish.
Also included is the first full season of air shows by the F-35A Lightning II Demonstration Team, who perform 14 maneuvers that showcase the fighter’s full envelope of flight. The F-35A will inch past show center at just under 100 mph, accelerate to nearly Mach 1, pull up to nine G’s, and climb at an angle of attack of more than 50 degrees.
