The U.S. Navy offers Professional Apprenticeship Career Tracks to help enlisted sailors find a general apprenticeship. The program is designed to help those who are “unsure what specific career field interests them at their initial time of enlistment.” At least 20 specialties are offered within the program related to maintaining, fueling, and stowing airplanes and helicopters.
