NASA’s first new space vehicle in a generation rolled out of its hangar early this morning to make the journey to Launch Complex 37 at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, where it was then mated to its Delta IV Heavy rocket. Orion’s first test flight—to verify that its heat shield works as advertised during a high-speed reentry—is scheduled for December 4.
