Above: The Apollo Command Module on display at the Museum of Flight in Seattle, number 007A, is the first production-line capsule delivered to NASA for testing and training. It was originally identical to spacecraft 012, in which astronauts Gus Grissom, Ed White, and Roger Chaffee died in a fire on January 27, 1967. From 1968 to 1972, nine astronaut crews returned to Earth in Apollo Command Modules after journeying to the Moon. Source: The Museum of Flight.
