3rd Annual Air & Space Photo Contest
A Fond Farewell

Farewell, and Thank You. One of the last F-4 Phantom II jets still in service rests under a starry sky at Tyndall Air Force Base, Panama City Florida, accompanied by the Milky Way and a lonely C-130 flying an early morning mission. A few weeks after this photo was taken, the last Phantoms departed Tyndall for their final fates at Holloman Air Force Base in New Mexico where they will be expended as drones.
