IC342 - A spiral galaxy hidden behind an arm of the Milky Way

IC342, the "Hidden" Galaxy, is named so because, due to its position in our sky, it is cloaked by dust and dense star field from the Milky Way. Sitting about 10 million light years away and directly behind our galactic equator, the details of this face-on galaxy are only apparent along with a huge number of stars from the Milky Way, resulting in a colorful capture of this hidden cosmic wonder through the traffic of our own galaxy.
