Approximately 5 hours of star trail motion was captured at the Texas Star Party, near Fort Davis, TX in May of 2015. These stellar streaks are caused by the rotation of the earth, and the star closest to the center is Polaris, the North Star. The lower part of the image shows 5 hours of activity by the astronomers and their red flashlights. The faint diagonal lines from the lower left were made by airplanes. The tiny streak about half way between Polaris and the horizon was probably a meteor.
