3rd Annual Air & Space Photo Contest
Third Contact, Svalbard

Travelers bundled against the cold stand in the shadow of the moon during the March 2015 total solar eclipse as seen from Longyearbyen, Spitsbergen on the archipelago of Svalbard. Third contact is the moment when the moon begins to move away from the sun's face after totality, the sun peaking out creates the "diamond ring" effect.
