ISS solar transit

1st Annual Air & Space Photo Contest
ISS solar transit

John Stetson first captured an International Space Station solar transit in 2006. This photograph was taken with his son Peter's help, on March 25, 2010. The transit duration was 0.62 seconds. "There were some cirrus clouds," says Stetson, "but more important the sky was steady (laminar flow), and the 'seeing' was remarkably good."
