Dr. Monique M. Chism is the Smithsonian’s Under Secretary for Education, responsible for setting educational priorities and advancing initiatives to integrate the Smithsonian into American classrooms.  Before joining the Smithsonian in 2021, Chism held leadership roles at the American Institutes for Research and the U.S. Department of Education.
